A good time to go to Solo is during the winters. As Solo is in the tropical belt the summers are usually very warm. Generally the climate is characterized by warm tropical weather. So it is advisable to go during the winters. Though the winters are not extremely chilly you will certainly like the nip in the air. The dry season stretches from the month of May to October. The temperature is on the hotter side along the coastal belt. The city of Solo can have rainfall at any time during the year. But the official monsoon months set in from the month of November and continue till April. The humidity level hovers around the 70 to 90 percent mark through out the year. The high humidity causes a lot of sweat. Courtesy to the elevation in its terrain, the weather of Solo is prone to plenty of rainfalls. In fact, Solo forms a part of the wettest regions of Indonesia. As the rainfall is marginally lower during June to September, it is probably the best time to get to Solo. But environmental extremes like thunderstorms, typhoons or cyclones are quite common in Solo.
