Haifa is the third largest city in the state of Israel. Haifa in Israel is a major sea port in the northern region of Israel and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea. Another tourist attraction in Haifa is the Cave of Elijah, one of the prophets who prophesied the birth of Jesus Christ. According to legends, Prophet Elijah stayed in this cave during the reign of King Ahab. The Stella Maris, the founding place of the Carmelite Religious Order of Roman Catholicism is another important tourist attraction at Haifa. This Carmelite Church is located atop Mount Carmel.
