The holy city of Jerusalem in Israel is known for its religious importance worldwide. The city is considered to be of utmost importance to three different religions; Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Jerusalem is the holiest spiritual land for Judaism and is the spiritual homeland for the Jewish. It is the third holiest place for Islam and is home to many significant landmarks of Christianity.
