Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem

The garden, according to the New Testament is the piece of land where Jesus loved to spend some time with nature and was of utmost importance for Him as this was the preferred place for Jesus to offer His prayers. As legend beckons Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem was the place where Jesus suffered for the sins of the world just before night He was crucified. This was also the place where He was betrayed by His disciple Judas Iscariot.
The garden was the focal site for the early Christian pilgrimage. It is believed
that around 333 anonymous Pilgrim of Bordeaux visited the site. The present
day site is visited by hundreds every year making it one of the most important
tourist sites of Israel. The garden is open for all and remains open for most
of the days in a calendar year. The location of the Garden of Gethsemane in
Jerusalem is one of the highlights of the place which makes it easy to reach.
