Jerusalem Health & Safety
Israel - Eilat - Haifa - Jerusalem - Tel Aviv
Some Important Jerusalem Health & Safety tips for tourists -
- Cross at pedestrian crossings.
- Always be armed with an accurate map and if possible a guide.
- Avoid bazaars after dark as they get deserted, and become breeding grounds of unsocial elements.
- Be careful with your belongings. Thefts are not common, however, pickpockets are always on the prowl.
- Avoid political demonstrations in East Jerusalem, as these tend to get a little passionate at times.
- Carry your passport always. Bethlehem and Ramallah, near Jerusalem are not part of Israel, and you may be needed to produce your papers.
- Keep alert at all times. Avoid anything suspicious, and report unattended or suspicious objects immediately.
