This museum is named in the memory of the late Jewish poet, writer and dramatist Itzhak Katzenlson. He was involved in the uprising of the ghetto. The Holocaust is a term which is used to describe the killing regimen of the Nazis under Adolf Hitler. During the world war II millions of Jews were killed and executed by the Nazis. The Jews formed organizations to resist the killing of the German Nazis. Ghetto Fighters' House in Israel was established to commemorate the fighting spirit and the bravery in resisting the Nazis.
