The Temple Institute is an institute in Israel which can be labeled controversial at times because it has taken up the controversial cause of building the Third Temple. The goal of the Temple institute is to build a third Jewish temple on the temple on which stands the Dome of the Rock and the institute also seeks to reinstate sacrificial worship too. The Institute wants to complete its mission by gaining a thorough understanding of the temple construction and ritual. It was established and headed by Rabbi Yisrael Ariel and the current director is Rabbi Yehudi Glick. The temple institute has a couple of goals the long term goal includes the building of the Holy Temple of God on Mount Moriah while the short tem goals of the institute includes educating people on the construction of the Holy temple. The Temple institute wants to raise public awareness about the holy temple and it wishes to put religion and spiritualism as one of the core values of human life. The institute conducts a large number of activities to spread the awareness and this could be in the form of seminars, books, journals, publications, and conferences. However the single point agenda of the temple is the rebuilding of the holy temple and the institute has already put together original vessels and materials based on the descriptions and exact specifications that have been put down in the Holy Bible. These vessels are made in such a manner that they can be put to use almost immediately after the temple is constructed and is ready for use. Already the temple institute has been able to put together the three most important vessels for the divine service and these include a seven branched Candelabra, Golden Incense Altar and the Golden table of the showbread. With a single point agenda the place is one of the most important tourist attractions of Israel.
