Jogging in Tel Aviv

The long beachfront promenade, running several miles from the northern end of Jaffa to the Hilton hotel offers an outstanding stretch for urban jogging with no cross streets and traffic lights. The way is always busy, which adds an element of safety. You can stop in between for a dip in the sea or a bath at public showers that adorn the beach at various intervals. There is a jogging park at Sportek, Rokach Boulevard that is located at the northern entrance of Tel Aviv. Admission to the track is free. Tel Aviv’s clean pavements bordered with palm trees are ideal for jogging. The marvelous promenade with beachfront cafes and eateries is an ideal location for morning or afternoon jogging in Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv is a flat city, so you can jog around for hours. When you get tired, stop for a coffee and go on. One of such recommended jogging track is the northern promenade. Begin at the centre near your hotel and go north along the beach. Jogging at the northern promenade is recommended at sunset. On the way back, you may visit the new shopping mall that sells exclusive and authentic items or you can enjoy a drink at the several cafes. Afterwards you can continue north and go to Yarkon Park through a wonderful bridge that is brightly lit at night.

Park Hayarkon is suitable for jogging, relaxing and refreshing walks or sports. Next option is the south promenade. On the way, you may visit the spectacular Opera shopping centre. Manta Ray, the seafood restaurant on the beach Pini behatzer and old Jaffa are other attractions on the way back. Jogging in Tel Aviv is fun as it keeps you healthy and the excitement it offers is unlimited.
