Yehoshua Gardens located at Rokach Boulevard in the northern part of the city rents out rowboats, pedal boats and motorboats. You can also choose pleasure boats, which carry up to 100 people for 20-minute rides, or tandems that take up to six people. Although all sailing boats require a license to operate, you can book a sailboat or a yacht with a skipper at the old port. The Dugit diving centre caters as a popular meeting place for veteran divers. The view beneath the surface of Mediterranean Sea does not offer as spectacular an arrangement of fish and coral as the Red Sea, still it is a good place to start with. Dugit offers diving courses for all levels. You can get diving equipments for sale or rent on a daily basis to licensed divers.
The Gordon pool is located near the end of Gordon Street that is a Tel Aviv institution since the 1950s. The pool is open only in July and August has an outdoor Olympic size pool. The pool is open daily 6 am to 7 pm. For waterskiing lovers Park Darom, which is located in southern Tel Aviv, is the perfect destination. Cables attached to a rotating crane pull you around a man made lake. This system is particularly good for beginners. It is open from April through October, but hours vary, so please book in advance. The Tel Aviv rowing club was established in 1935 and is the best rowing club in Israel. There are four active rowing clubs in the country. The two boat clubs in Tel Aviv are located on the banks of the Yarkon River.
