Tourist Attractions in Israel

Israel - Eilat - Haifa - Jerusalem - Tel Aviv
Located on the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the state of Israel is bordered by Lebanon and Syria in the north, Jordan in the east and Egypt to the south. Regarded as the only Jews state in the world, Israel is a fascinating country which is considered as a pilgrimage spots by the Christians, Muslims and Jews. The earliest record of the country is derived from the Old Testament of the Bible when Moses helps the Israelis to escape from Egypt and settle in Palestine.

Israel is the land where Jesus Christ, the savior of mankind was born. The state of Israel houses a number of pilgrimage spots of the Christian and Muslim community, who visit this holy land in large numbers. Most of the tourist attractions in Israel are situated in the northern city of Nazareth. Located amidst the hills of central Galilee, the city of Nazareth is regarded s the town where Jesus Christ grew up. Today, the city of Nazareth is inhabited by a large population of Christians and Muslims and Jews. It is within an hour drive east of the city of Haifa.

Few of the important tourist attractions in Israel are visited by pilgrims all through the year. The list of tourist attractions at Israel is as follows:

The Church of Annunciation, Nazareth: This is one of the most popular tourist attractions at Israel. Located at the Casa Nove Street in Israel, the Christians believe that the church was built on the remains of the house of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ.

Grotto of the Annunciation, Nazareth: According to the Bible, the Grotto commemorates the event when the chief Angel of God, Gabriel told the Mary that she would give birth to Jesus Christ. This is the earliest pilgrimage destinations in Israel; the Grotto is built over the site of the Byzantine and Crusader Churches.

Tourism in Israel benefits highly from the presence of these pilgrimage spots at Nazareth. Other tourist attractions in Israel include Cana, Nazareth, St. Gabriel's Church, Nazareth and Mary's Well, Nazareth.
