The well-known professional Japanese soccer club, Avispa Fukuoka, which is currently playing in the second division of Japan’s Football League, is in Fukuoka. Chuo Bohan F.C. founded this club of Fukuoka in 1982.
Higashi Hirao Park Hakata no Mori Football Stadium with its natural grass pitch is one of the most popular venues for hosting football matches in Fukuoka. This football stadium of Fukuoka is the home ground of Avispa Fukuoka football club and is located in the Hakata ward of Fukuoka city. It accommodates seating arrangement for around 20,000 fans and is at just 20 minutes walk from the Fukuoka airport.
