The Marine Park Uminonakamichi is located in the city of Fukuoka on a constricted cape to the northern strip of the Hakata Bay. This marine park also serves as an amusement park, zoo with cuddling animals; it also has gardens, beaches, a hotel, and a large marine aquarium, which is a special attraction for tourists. Uminonakamichi Marine Park was inaugurated in 1989 in Cultural Resort Area of Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. This water park mainly focuses on Tsushima’s warm current aquatic life. One gets to see various organisms, which have inhabited the subtropical zone in and around Amami Oshima. This park also covers the temperate zone offshore to Kyushu Island to the Sanin region, the sub artic area surrounding Hokkaido in alignment with the south to north Japan Current from. Marine park of Fukuoka also has largest aquarium holding 2,000 gallons of water that is originally meant for shows of dolphins and sea lions. A gigantic water tank with a depth of 7meters holding 1400 gallons of water is known to house at least more than 120 sharks of 20 different kinds. Fukuoka Marine Park Uminonakamichi consists of approximately 70 large and small water tanks inclusive of an outdoor whale pool with a diameter of 13meter depth, with water holding capacity of 720 gallons.
