Momochi Seaside Park Fukuoka

Japan - Fukuoka - Kobe - Nagoya - Tokyo - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Yokohama
One of the most attractive sightseeing spots in Fukuoka is Momochi Seaside Park. It also goes by the name of Seaside Momochi. The park is situated on grounds where before the formation of the park, exhibitions were held. Asia-Pacific Exposition was held in this very place in 1989. The area is a waterfront development area of reclaimed land. In some ways it can be compared to the Tokyo Waterfront Sub center. Momochi Seaside Park has beautiful and large manmade beaches along with beachside parks.

In Momochi Seaside Park, one will have fascinating view of wide tree lined streets, which act as a canopy in the hot summer days. But be prepared to be awestruck with the splendid futuristic architecture of the buildings that are a feast for the eyes. You can stroll in the parks (there are a few) and thus relax. Momochi Seaside Park is very modern and equally planned so there are no telephone lines or electricity lines above the ground.

There are many others nearby attractions from Momochi Seaside Park. Fukuoka Tower is just not to be missed. It is a massive skyscraper, 234 meter tall and has an observation deck and Hawks Town. It also has Fukuoka Dome, which is the home of one of Fukuoka’s best baseball teams. The dome is again so innovative in its design and approach that exploring it alone will take some time on your part.
