The Japanese people have an ardent flair for games and sports. The Big Arch of Hiroshima was first among the sporting venues in Hiroshima that was built to serve the purpose of hosting the Asian Cup in 1994.

As the name suggests, this marvelous stadium is arch-shaped. There are two arches - a roofed arch covering the main stand, and a higher arch at the back part. Apart from the high home stand of the Big Arch Stadium, the other stands of the stadium are set on a relatively shallow bank. Big Arch features a sprawling field along with a running track covering an extensive area. It offers quite a sunny, airy and open atmosphere. This makes it apt to organize matches in the afternoon time. The stadium can seat a huge number of spectators.

In order to reach the stadium, you can take a street car from the JR Hiroshima Station and get off at Hontsu Dentei. Walk across this place and board the 'Astram Line' to reach Hirojo Park. From here walk for about ten minutes to reach your destination - the Big Arch Stadium in Hiroshima

The tickets at Big Arch Stadium are priced according to the seats. For the SS Zone tickets are priced at Y 5,000. Those for SA Zone tickets prices are Y 4,000. To reserve a ticket in the SB Zone, you have to shed an amount of Y 3,500. General tickets are available at Y 2,300 for adults and Y 500 for children. Seasonal tickets can also be purchased from the ticket office.
