Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Located in Peace Park in central Hiroshima, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum provides knowledge of the destructive reach of atom bomb and its aftermath impact in the history of Hiroshima. Some of the most important items in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are the material and goods that remained after the unfortunate bombing in 1945.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial was established in August 1955. It chief objective is to keeping the war wound fresh after all these years and to raise awareness against the futility of wars. Peace Memorial Museum of Hiroshima promotes peace through many photographs, videos of the sites affected by the bomb; there are testimonies of those who survived the bombing.

Several school field trips are also organized to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Hall and many tourists visit it as well.

Many important personalities around the world have paid a visit to Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Museum. Jimmy Carter was the first American President to visit the museum.
