Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Hiroshima Peace Memorial was established in August 1955. It chief objective is to keeping the war wound fresh after all these years and to raise awareness against the futility of wars. Peace Memorial Museum of Hiroshima promotes peace through many photographs, videos of the sites affected by the bomb; there are testimonies of those who survived the bombing.
Several school field trips are also organized to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Hall and many tourists visit it as well.
Some of the most famous exhibits in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are-
- A head of Buddha, which has been disfigured after being partly melted by the heat.
- A broken clock.
- A photograph of a wounded horse.
- Melted Steel cans.
Many important personalities around the world have paid a visit to Hiroshima Peace
Memorial Museum. Jimmy Carter was the first American President to visit the museum.
