Hijiyama Park is one of the prominent parks present in Hiroshima, Japan. The park is located on the Hijiyama Hilltop. The Hijiyama Park is a beautiful place and is ideal site for refreshment and relaxation as well. There is a temple called the Tamonin Temple located at the foot of the hill on its western side. This park is a favorite amongst the people of Japan and the tourists as well. This is mainly due to the fact that the scenic beauty of this place is amazing. The Hiroshima Bay can be seen from the lookout point of this park that offers picturesque sites. The other places that can be seen from this place are Miyajima and the downtown areas of the city of Hiroshima. The hill on which the Hijiyama Park is located symbolizes a sitting tiger mountain and this concept was reflected in a poem by the Japanese poet Rai Sanyo. The Museum of Contemporary Art is also located in the Hijiyama Park. The museum houses exhibitions of contemporary art and is a major cultural hub as well. Apart from this, the other landmarks of this park are the Henry Moore Installation along with the Memorial Fountain. The statue walk is also present in the park. There are cherry blossoms as well in the Hijiyama Park and Hanami parties which means cherry blossom viewing parties are also organized in this park.
