Transportation in Hiroshima is a well-developed network, which connects the different parts of the city with a regular service of buses, trams and rails. The Hiroshima Rapid Railway Company, which operates the trains, has equipped them with an excellent technology for high-speed travel.
Trams: The trams, or streetcars, as they are commonly called in Hiroshima, are another popular mode of transport in the city. The trams running through Hiroshima serve a number of routes and run for more than 18 kilometers. More than 250 tram cars run through Hiroshima everyday, connecting the different parts of the city with a network of cars that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Bus: The bus service in Hiroshima is a cheap and convenient mode for commuting
to different parts of the city. A number of express and local buses run through
the city. Airport limousine buses are available to carry travelers to and from
the airport. Some special sightseeing buses are also available exclusively to
take the tourists around the city.
