Hiroshima Prefecture has been nicknamed "mini Japan," and rightly so, for it offers the best of everything Japan has to offer. When it comes to food, Hiroshima is the place to be in, as it is known for its culinary delights.
The bars are generally small, and hence tend to be a personable affair. The decor and theme of each establishment is always interesting. The helpful nature of the bar staff, and the friendly nature of the people in Hiroshima will make you feel right at home.
A well-known gaijin hangout, this tiny bar is often packed on weekends, and turns into a disco as and when the crowd feels in the mood to dance. 'Snappers' is an all time favorite and has a pretty good selection of CDs. From time to time Snappers holds special theme parties or live bands. It is a good place to go for holidays like Halloween, New Year's Eve, Super Bowl, etc. It's kind of dark, small place but has the average size for bars in Hiroshima. The crowd varies as you can see many foreigners sometimes and not a single soul at other times. Usually you will have a good time here. Happy Hour is from Mon-Sat 8-9pm, and bands occasionally play daily from 8pm-1am.
