The Minatogawa Shrine is a famous temple located in Kobe of Japan. This temple attracts visitors all round the year. Description The shrine is dedicated to Masashige Kusunoki . He was a famous military commander in the 14 th century. This 14 th century samurai fought for Emperor Go- Diago. They both were on a mission to save their empire from the Kamakura Shogunate. It was Masashige Kusunoki's diplomatic views and decisions that helped the emperor to regain his power. Though later for a brief spell of time was called a traitor, Masashige Kusunoki was finally accepted as a patriotic hero, called Nanko. He was taken as an epitome of loyalty, courage and devotion. Opening hours The Minatogawa temple opens from 9:30 in the morning till 4: 30 in the afternoon. The temple is open on all days except on Thursday.
