Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology was founded by 13 companies of the Toyota Group with the object of showing people how things get made in the prestigious textile and automobile industries of Toyota Group. It is located in Nishi-ku in Nagoya.

Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology has as many as 4000 exhibits and there are demos by the operators followed by informative videos. The exhibitions in Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology are divided into two sections- Textile Machinery Pavilion and Automobile Pavilion.

The Textile Machinery Pavilion
The Textile Machinery Pavilion in the Toyota Museum occupies a space of 3,468 sq mt and is built in a cotton-spinning factory of the Taisho Period. The Pavilion traces the evolution of textile industries from rudimentary contrivances like hand spindle and spinning wheel to the sophisticated looms of today.

Automobile Pavilion
Occupying an area of 7,900 sq mt, Automobile Pavilion is even more extensive than the Textile Machinery Pavilion. Automobile Pavilion in Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology has elaborate displays of Automobile Mechanisms, Component Parts, Automotive Technology and Manufacturing Technology. The demonstrations of the complex mechanisms of automobile functioning are done in a very simple manner, comprehensible even to a layperson.
