JR Central Towers Nagoya

Soaring high above the Nagoya Station, the JR Central Towers has emerged as a prized possession of the city. The two hundred and forty five meter high building gallantly ranks among the world's largest station buildings listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is in fact, the highest station building in the entire Chubu Region. The JR Central sprawls across a huge floor space of 410000 meters.
The JR Central Towers houses in its gigantic structure, a numerous sections which includes a department store, office tower, hotel, multipurpose hall, and restaurants. A fifty-one story tower is used as an office space, while another thirty floors are rented out as office. The Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel rises across fifty-three stories of another tower. The Takashimaya department store also stretches across a few floors supplying a huge store of items. The Towers Plaza restaurant is posted on the twelfth and thirteenth floor of the building, right above the departmental store. The top floor of the building once served as an observation tower, providing excellent views of city stretching below. The observation area has however been transformed into a salon. The Panorama Salon, as it is rightly called, is a popular salon offering a café, wine lounge, beauty salon, health spa, and of course, fascinating views of Nagoya skyline.
With its numerous departments, the tower earns a major portion of the revenue for the JR Central Group. The building had come into operation in 1999 and has since then been standing as a major point of the city.
