When to Go to Nagoya

Japan - Fukuoka - Kobe - Nagoya - Tokyo - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Yokohama -
Located roughly in the centre of Japan, on the Pacific coast in the Chubu region, Nagoya experiences a moderate climate than in the further north of Japan. Due to its position on the western coast this capital city of the Aichi Prefecture experiences less snowy winters and hot and humid summers with frequent rainfalls. Though you can expect the showers through out the year, it is the summer time that records the highest amount of rainfall in Nagoya. As for winters, it snows lesser than in the east coast but temperatures can still go below the average at times making Nagoya quite a chilling place in the month of January. So if you are wondering about when to go to Nagoya, avoid the sticky, humid summers and the cold, snowy winters and be here during the autumn and the spring when the city is at its best.

The temperature at Nagoya remains almost similar through out the length and breath of the city, the mountainous regions being the only exception, where the climate is more like in the east coast of Japan. Hence rainfalls are more and winters are snowy as you go higher up in the mountains.
