The Midosuji Line is the rapid transit system in Osaka City that is the capital of the Prefecture. It is a link of high capacity with a similar frequency of service, and grade separation that aligns the junction of two grades so as to prevent the disruption of traffic. The Midosuji Line is the oldest and most oft-traversed route of Osaka's subway system, named after Midosuji which is a major corridor of the city running north to south, except for the region north of Nakatsu, which runs above the freeway of Shin-Midosuji.

The floats include display floats, music and announcement cars, that join alongside marching bands, baton twirlers, drum and fife bands. The performing units comprise the local festival groups, those from visiting countries, Japanese folk dance groups and children's mikoshi or portable shrines.
