Izu Peninsula has Oceanic Park which is Japan's first dive spot. The aquatic life of coasts of Japan is made fecund for uniqueness due to intermingling of the warm water from the tropics and icy cold water from the Artic.

Wind Surfing
Surfing is the most popular water sports in Tokyo and in entire Japan. Omaezaki, in Shizuoka is one of the most popular surfing sites in Japan.
Lake Sailing is preferred by those who have only just taken to the sport. It is best done in summer, since in winter the water can reach freezing heights. Located near Tokyo, Fuji Five Lakes provide ideal conditions for amateurs to build their surfing talents. The seasoned surfers will find their skills put to adequate test in Lake Motosuko.
Only the best of the wind surfers graduate to take up wave sailing, which requires greater skill and endurance. It is not uncommon to see, surfers after a hopeless battle against the raging waves, swim their way back to the shore.
Even though the entire country comes under the icy grip of cold during winter time, wind surfing in Japan continues with undiminished ardor. The Pacific Coast of Japan is lapped by warm waters of the tropics and as a result becomes the sole reason for the exodus of surfers towards it.
