Grutt Pass

Grutt Pass is created by the Executive Committee of the Common Ticket for Museums and Art Museums in Tokyo, for the benefit of the visitors touring the Tokyo Museums and other tourist attractions.

The reasonable fare of this pass includes entry fees and attractive discount offers as well. With this pass you can tour museums like Yamatane Museum of Art and Mori Art Museum. It has a validity of two months. Apart from museums, this pass provides you the incredible opportunity to visit aquariums, zoos and other amusement centers. But with the pass, you can have access only once to each place. This pass also opens for you the scope to participate in a Stamp Rally whereby you can win one product of the museum. Isn't it interesting !

The Grutt Pass costs 2,000 ¥ approximately. This pass is available at the museum counters, Tokyo Tourist Information Center, Kichijoji Store and many other places. You can also get a computer-issued ticket from Family Mart, Three F, E-plus, Kinki Japan Tourist, JTB Traveland, and some more places. Make sure you get the expiry date stamped on your pass when you use it for the first time.

The major areas along with the attractions where you can have access with the Grutt Pass are as follow :

  -   Ueno Area : In this area the major tourist attractions are National Museum of Western Art, National Science Museum, University Art Museum, Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo National Museum, Shitamachi Museum and Ueno Zoological Gardens.

  -   Shinjuku and Setagaya Wards : the main places you can visit here are Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, Setagaya Literary Museum and Gotoh Museum.

  -   Greater Tokyo : Kichijoji Art Museum, Fuchu Art Museum, Mitaka City Art Gallery and Tama Zoological Park are the major places to be visited in this area.
