Tokyo Subway
The area of central Tokyo is well-served by the Toei Subways and Tokyo Metro.
The former features four lines and the latter features eight lines. But there
are some trains which run on the lines of some other companies. Trains on Hibiya
Subway Line operate on the Tokyu Toyoko Line at the Nakameguru Station. Again,
the trains on Chiyoda Subway Line run on the Odakyu Line at Yoyogi-Uehara Station.
Some of the major subway lines are Ginza, Marunouchi, Yokosuka, Eidan and Toei.
Tokyo Taxi Service
Taxi services creating a link between the Narita Airport and the city are also available. The Sky Gate Shuttle and Jet Partner are two of the prominent ones.
Tokyo Bus Service
The Tokyu Bus and the Airport Limousine Bus links the Narita International Airport with the main heart of the city. Tokyo is linked with Tsukuba with bus services. It departs from Yaesu-Minami. Some other important bus are Odakyu Bus and Tokyu Bus.
Tokyo Ferry Service
Located on the Tokyo Bay, the Ariake Ferry Terminal links the city with Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku. The major sea routes are Tokyo-Shinmoji and Tokyo-Tomakomai. The prominent terminals are Harumi and Takeshiba terminals. Apart from passengers and vehicles boarding, these terminals provide ample car parking space.
Narita International Airport Tokyo
The flights to international destinations operate from and to this airport. Located approximately 66 km. east of central Tokyo, this airport features two terminals. Some of the most significant airlines operating in this airport are JAL and ANA. Other airlines include Air Japan, British Airways, Air New Zealand, Air France, Continental and Aero Mexico. The main amenities offered by this airport are, ATMs, currency exchange, travel assistance, duty free shopping, cafes and restaurants, rest rooms and even clinic and postal services. The business travelers can avail the internet, fax and photocopying facilities at the Business Support Center in terminal one and Leo Two in terminal two.
Haneda Airport
This airport is served exclusively by the domestic airlines. The major ones
being JAL and ANA. It is located 16 km approximately south of central Tokyo.
The Tokyo Monorail and the Keikyu Railway connect the airport to the city.
