However, if you are interested in saving time or want to avoid the steeper slopes, then you can take a cable car ride to the top.
Getting to Mount Takao in Tokyo is extremely easy. The best way to reach there is by the Keio Railway. Trains to Takaosanguchi Station are available from Keio Shinjuku station every 20 minutes. Another way of arriving here is by talking a train via the Chuo Line from Shinjuku and arriving at the Takao Station. From here, you can move to the Keio Line and then come to Takaosanguchi Station.
