The New York Bar in Tokyo is rated as one of the best roof-top bars in the world by the Wallpaper magazine. The New York Bar had one of the best interiors as well as services unmatchable to those in most of Tokyo nightclubs. The interiors are done up in dark wood with ebony chairs, walnut floors and windows covering the stretch from floor to ceiling giving a beautiful view of the city as well as the giant Mount Fujiyama on clear days. The walls are decorated with large murals of Radio City Music Hall and the Rainbow Room in bold, fluid colors by artist Velerio Adami.
The music style in New York Bar is mostly of Manhattan style Jazz. It is a spectacular venue for live music featuring jazz by top international artists every night.
The Bar menu in New York Bar is elaborate with premium cognac and brandies, classic and original cocktails and the largest selection of American wines in Japan. There are 40 varieties of liqueurs, 15 cognacs, and a huge variety of whiskeys, gins, rums and tequilas. The barman is ever ready to make any drink that is demanded or will make it according to the directions of the visitor.
The dining menu in New York Bar is not as extended, but would leave none hungry. There is something or the other for everyone. The best ones are the new New York Grill appetizer plate, steak sandwich on home baked focaccia, smoked salmon on bagel chips with spinach, cream cheese and thyme pizza.
The New York Bar shares its space with its adjacent New York Grill, a restaurant. This place fills in the gaps in the dining menu of the New York Bar with its elaborate dining menu.
The New York Bar opens from 5p.m. till midnight, from Sunday to Wednesday and on Thursdays to Saturday from 5p.m. to 1a.m.
Cover charge of 2000 Yens is applied from Monday to Saturday from 8p.m. and on Sundays from 7 p.m.
