Nightclubs and music are an attraction for the young working men and women in Tokyo. For them it is work whole day and drown themselves in the heady nightlife in Japan after work. The capital city which is drab during the day comes to life at night. Once night falls Tokyo is transformed with lights and music all around. There are different types of nightclubs in Tokyo but the most popular among them are those which have live performance. These nightclubs in Japan are also called concert clubs. They specialize in various kinds of live performances. These performances may be by popular bands or DJs. However, nowadays DJs are more frequent in nightclubs of Japan and they churn out all kinds of music from their vinyl, CDs and MP3s. Liquid Room is one such nightclub and its popularity amongst the various Tokyo night clubs is not due to the performances by DJs but due to the bands which perform here from time to time.

Live Music at Liquid Room

Liquid Room has housed some of the best live performances in Tokyo. Situated in Shibuya, Tokyo, the biggest red light district in the city, it is the place to hear some of the best indigenous bands. Amongst the live performances the venue has hosted over the years the most noteworthy ones are the ones by Pulp. Liquid Room, Tokyo is essentially a place for music lovers who come here to sway to the music that the best sound system can provide.

An Evening at Liquid Room

Liquid Room also comes with spacious bars. Seating area is very limited here but this does not pose a problem as most people join the dancing crowd. It opens, almost on all nights, from 6pm. But unlike the other Tokyo night clubs and Tokyo bars which are open till early in the morning, Liquid Room usually closes around midnight. An evening here could be quite expensive with cover charges ranging between Yen 3,000 to Yen 5,000. It also houses a café/bar in LiquidLoft which comes with an entry fee. Getting here too is tough as it lies on the seventh floor and there are no elevators to take the guests there.

Among the other nightclubs in Tokyo which entice the audience with live band music is Milk. Vibrant music by DJs is popular in places like Paradiso, La Fabrique, and Velfarre. Nightlife in Tokyo is mind-boggling when it comes to the choices it offers.
