Ginza Mitsukoshi

Japan - Fukuoka - Kobe - Nagoya - Tokyo - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Yokohama
Ginza is a famous up market destination in Tokyo. It was originally going to be a site for a silver coin mint but it turned into a famous shopping area.
In Ginza there are fine Japanese restaurants and inexpensive Italian cafés, sake and scotch bars, art galleries, second-hand camera stores and product showrooms. Ginza bustles with tourists, shoppers and others, throughout the year.
Mitsukoshi Department Store
Ginza Mitsukoshi is the oldest department store in Tokyo. The store is known as "the Harrods of Tokyo." The store chain was opened in 1930 and offers goods and services on twelve floors. Mitsukoshi's history reaches back to the year 1673. It is one of Japan's first western style department stores.

Mitsukoshi is located opposite Wako and plays host to brand shops such as Tiffany & Co. while the lion statue at the entrance is always a popular meeting spot with the Japanese phrase, "Today I go to Teigeki (Teikoku Gekijou Theater), tomorrow I will go to Mitsukoshi," once being used as an ad of sorts for the lifestyle of the capital's wealthier and more leisured of women.
