Looking for an ideal place for a refreshing stroll or picnic in Tokyo? Well, Kasai Rinkai Koen, one of the city's largest parks, sprawling over 795,000 m2 awaits you. This magnificent park includes a gigantic 360 degree room aquarium and a bird sanctuary. Boasting Japan's largest Ferris wheel, Kasai Rinkai Park can take you way up in the sky and then down into the ocean's depths in the course of an afternoon.

The Flowers and Diamonds as it is called Ferris wheel carries 68 cars and the full rotation takes 17 minutes. The wheel presents grand views on Disneyland, Tokyo Bay, Tokyo and even Mount Fuji on clear days. The park is always packed during the 'hanami' period of spring. Come; celebrate the Japanese party under cherry trees.

Another main draw is the Kasai Rinkai Aquarium, one of Kanto's finest. See the glass dome that serves as the entrance to the aquarium. Here, you descend an escalator and enter a magical marine environment. The aquarium is renowned for its enormous tunas a bonitos swimming like silvery robots. Apart from them, you will find there hammerhead sharks, angelfishes, surgeonfishes, anemones, morays, giant crabs, deep sea fishes, and fishes from all seven oceans. How to reach
This is just one stop from Tokyo Disneyland in Maihama. Kasai Rinkai Koen station is on the JR Keiyo and JR Musashino lines between Tokyo and Chiba. It's a 15 minutes journey from Tokyo station.

Aquarium open: 09:30-16:00 (doors close at 17:00)

Admission to aquarium: 700 yen (adult), 250 yen (middle school)
Ferris wheel open: 10:00-20:00 (closes one hour later on weekends and holidays)
Admission to wheel: 700 yen (3-69), 400 yen (70+), 350 yen (physically disabled # and there are two cars for wheelchair users)
Access: The wheel is right outside Kasai Rinkai Koen Station (JR Keiyo Line); also accessible by water bus from Hinode near Hamamatsucho Station (JR Yamanote Line)
