Roppongi

Roppongi, located in the Minato Ward of Tokyo in Japan, is a district known for its active nightlife and is one of the most modern and frequently visited spots of the city.

The term Roppongi, which means 'six trees, was coined in the year 1660. During the Second World War, the district was heavily damaged and it also became the center for a large number of US military installations. It was from this time that the area came to be referred to as the foreign neighborhood. After the world war, this area was rebuilt as an entertainment zone for the foreigners and international tourists.

Getting to Roppongi District in Tokyo is easy. One can take a train via the Oedo and Hibiya Line and directly come over here. You can also take a train from Ebisu Station via the JR Yamanote Line. You can also take a train to Roppongi Itchome station via the Namboku Line.
