Decks Tokyo Beach is a huge shopping mall filled with a large number of shops, stores, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants as well as an entertainment center. This giant complex is located in the Odaiba district of Tokyo in Japan. The mall faces the magnificent Tokyo bay and is a major sightseeing destination in Tokyo. The Decks Tokyo Beach in Tokyo is a seven-story building, which was built in the year 1996 in the month of July. It is the main shopping center of the Tokyo Waterfront Sub-district, popularly known as Odaiba. The shopping center derives its name form the wooden walkways constructed on the northern side of the building. The entire mall is shaped like the deck of a ship. This seaside mall faces the Tokyo bay and offers a marvelous view of the Rainbow Bridge and the Odaiba Waterfront Park. In December 2000 a new building, called the '"Island Mall", was built beside the main shopping mall. The main mall has two fantastic floors filled with a large number of shops, specaility stores, boutiques and numerous other stalls. Different types of good and products are sold in these shops, which include fashionable clothes, modern and antique furniture, watches, outdoor gear and equipments, cosmetics, toys, food items, accessories and others. The Island mall has a total of 59 shops, 19 restaurants and numerous other facilities for the convenience of the visitors and the shoppers. One can find information counters, locker rooms, parking lots, baby nursery, facilities for the handicapped and other facilities over here. One can find a large number of gourmet restaurants and trendy cafes in this mall. The restaurants serve Indian, Chinese, Japanese and continental dishes to the diner. The food is good and tasty. The seating arrangements in these restaurants are comfortable and allow one to dine in a comfortable manner. Many of these restaurants have outdoor seating arrangements. You can enjoy the nighttime view of the mall as well as the surrounding area from these restaurants. The biggest attraction of the Decks Tokyo Beach is the Decks Tokyo Brewery. Built in 1996, you can get to taste some of the finest varieties of beer made right in front of your eyes. Another major attractions of this place is the Joypolis Entertainment Center. Operated by Sega Co. Ltd, this amusement park has a number of joy rides and numerous fun zones where both the adults and the children can have lots of fun together. One can check out the fortune telling section or go for skydiving over here. The Odaiba Little Hong Kong, located on the 6th and 7th floor of this mall, is a food theme park found over here. The shops, restaurants and streets in this part of the mall are an exact replica of the same in Hong Kong. The Deck Tokyo Beach is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. everyday. Entry is free over here. The best time to visit this place is during the evenings. The place is mostly visited by the younger generation. You can reach this place by taking a train to the Odaiba-Kaihin-Koen-Station, and then walk to this place. You can also take a boat ride to Odaibi-Kaihin-Kouen and then walk from there. One can also take a bus from Monzen-Nakacho to Tokyo Teleport and get off at Odaibi-Kaihin-Kouen. From there it is a 3 minutes walking distance to this amusement center. Decks Tokyo Beach is a great place to spend the day with your friends and family. Its one of the most glamorous attractions of the city.
