The word "L'Osier" means "willow" in French and Ginza is popular for the varieties of willow tree located. In the year 1973, the Restaurant L'Osier was opened for business. In 1986, this restaurant had Jacques Borie as one of the chefs and he received the National Award as the best chef in France. The arrival of this chef was the turning point into the future of this restaurant and now it is one of the best in Tokyo. Unfortunately in 1999, the restaurant had to be closed due to some unavoidable circumstances, but was reopened again after 18 months in the Ginza region of Tokyo. Another popular chef named Bruno Menard joined this restaurant in 2005 and now the restaurant cannot be imagined to exist without him. There are 45 people as staff who serve for 40 customers and take a good care of everyone. The decoration of the interior of the Restaurant L'Osier is modern with a touch of Japanese tradition. Artistic painting and tapestries are a feature attraction and the dining room has a capacity to accommodate 30 guests. Private rooms are also available which can accommodate ix to ten people and is the decoration here is wonderful. There are varieties of French cuisine that is available in this restaurant, but some of the greatest delights would be Bleue, the price of which is 6000 Yen and consists of soup, a main dish, desserts and petits fours. Rouge is another menu consisting of hors d'oeuvre, two main dishes, soup, petits four and desserts and it costs 10,000 Yen. Another attractive feature of this restaurant is that it has a collection of some greatest wine. They have winery selections of Bordeaux and Burgundy and their menu also includes New World wines and it feels like heaven spending time here with loved ones.
