The capital city of Japan has a wide range of cuisines and restaurants located
all over the city of Tokyo. This is a vibrant city being one of the most important
metropolises in the world. Ranging from the posh areas of Tokyo till the cheaper
regions, the restaurants are scattered everywhere giving rest and satisfaction
to one's appetite. There are more than 1000 restaurants in this single city along
with a variety of cheese shops, bakeries and wine bars. The restaurants are located
in the region of Meiji Dori, Nishi Azabu, Roppongi, Shibuya-ku, Shinjuku and some
of the Indian restaurants are located in the region of Shiodome. Most of them
are family restaurants and there are also certain bars where good food is produced.
Japan is popular for its variety of food and dishes. One of the famous dishes
available in the Japanese restaurants is Nabemono which is the special dish
during the winter season. This mouth watering dish is prepared from fish, chicken,
meat, vegetables as well as from some of the sea food. This special food is
served in the restaurants having a rustic look and also in some places having
a pub style look. Another dish is that of the grilled eel which is usually called
unagi. It is a healthy food with delicious flavor and is usually taken during
the summer months and is found in most of the restaurants. The dish that reflects
all the specialties of Japanese food is Tempura. This originally is not Japanese
but a Portuguese dish and re cooked from fresh ingredient consisting of sea
food and vegetables. Another mouth savoring food is the Yakitori which is a
preparation of chicken with barbeque sauce. Many of the restaurants along with
some of the street side ones feel proud to serve this attractive dish. Oden
is dish made especially during the month of autumn and is a stew that is made
from fish dumplings, eggs, vegetables and fried tofu. It tastes best when served
with wine and is something that gives ultimate satisfaction.
Surviving without food is impossible and what can be better than spending quality
time with our loved ones in a good restaurant and enjoying the delicious delicacies
of the restaurant!
