Starbucks Coffee is a chain of coffee shops rather than a stand alone restaurant in the heart of the capital city Tokyo and has been opened in the Far East country of Japan based on the success of coffee in parts of North America.
The first coffee store was opened way back in 1996 and within a decade of its inception they have been able to set up more than five hundred stores all over the island nation.
One doesn't step into these stores in search of coffee but also for a different lifestyle altogether. Other than coffee one can munch pastries, chocolates, cookies and on top of that one could pick up a few coffee accessories like coffee cups etc which make this place unique in the truest sense of the term.
The one at Tokyo is located at the Shinjuku intersection and offers a great view and feel of the busy Tokyo life. It is an excellent place to sip your coffee and see the busy world but the busy world itself can be big problem at times because you might not find a place to sit here easily as queues are the order of the day.
So at times you might have to hang around for a bit to get a place inside and if you do manage to get a seat don't try to cling on to it for dear life because once you are done with your coffee you could be politely asked to leave.
However once you are in there are quite a few options available which can keep you busy, this could range from Caffe Misto which is brewed coffee with steamed milk or a Café Mocha which contains espresso ,cocoa, steamed milk with a topping of whipped ice cream.
If you are in a mood for some strong coffee then you can try out a Café Americano which contains rich espresso in steaming hot water.
The coffee shop also provides you the option of customizing your beverage so that it can match your standards and tastes.
There are a host of cold beverages for people who prefer cold rather than hot coffee and there is a special drink for kids too.
