- Employment Visa: Application to be obtained from the embassy of Japan on hand. The visas will be issued on the third day of submission of application.

Requirements:

- Completed application form (Two sets)
- Two recent photographs (passport size)
- Passport valid for a minimum of six months
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of Guarantee by the concerned Japanese company
- Copy of terms and conditions of employment from the company based in India
- Approval of the Reserve Bank of India/Ministry of Industry, Government of India, regarding the opening of a new office/business or the continuing the office/business
- Visa fee of Yen 1,200 (flat rate)
- Student Visa/ Research Visa: Application to be obtained from the embassy of Japan on hand. The visas will be issued on the third day of submission of application.

Requirements:

- Completed application form (Two sets)
- Two recent photographs (passport size)
- Passport valid for a minimum six months
- Confirmation letter of admission from University/School/Institute recognized by the Government of India/State Government.
- Proof of sufficient financial resources for meeting the expenses during course.
- Visa fees of Yen 1,200 (flat rate)

As per Japan visa information, in case of the waiver of visa conditions up to 90 days, foreigners on their landing will be granted a temporary guest status.
