The city of Yokohama in Japan is one of the prominent and rapidly developing port cities of Japan. The people of Japan love their sports. The International Stadium in Yokohama is home to the Yokohama F. Marinos of the J. League. The stadium hosted the 53rd National Sports Festival of Japan in 1998. The International Stadium was renamed as the Nissan Stadium from 1st March, 2005 to reflect the sponsorship of the Nissan Motor Co.

The Kanagawa Skating Rink is another major sporting venue which is an all weather ice skating rink located on the outskirts of Yokohama. The Skating Rink has a large skating area which covers thousands of square meters. The ice on the surface is cleaned frequently and skating conditions here are usually quite good.

The Yokohama Stadium is one of the leading baseball stadiums in Japan. The stadium is home the to the baseball team of Yokohama, Yokohama bay Stars. It is primarily used for baseball and can accommodate a maximum of 30000 people.
