Yokohama is well connected to other cities of Japan by road, train, air and sea. The city has a well developed transportation and communication infrastructure.

Due to its strategic proximity to Tokyo, the national capital Yokohama is served by the two airports at Tokyo, namely the Haneda Airport and the Narita International Airport. Regular train, limousine and air bus services run from the airports facilitating you to get in to Yokohama.

Getting toYokohama by train is most fitting for tourists, given that the city provides such an excellent connectivity on the tracks. A host of train lines connect Yokohama to Tokyo and other major cities of Japan.

Japan is easily accessible by sea and ferries operate regularly from Osaka to Shanghai via Kobe and on a weekly basis from Kobe to Tianjin in China. There are also cruises between the Japanese islands en route to Shanghai and Hong Kong. Yokohama is also connected with the rest of Japan by road. The JR Highway buses offer services to destinations throughout the Archipelago.
