The Sky Walk in Yokohama is a spectacular feature of the city of Yokohama. An integral part of the 'Yokohama Bay Bridge', the Sky Walk in Yokohama also serves as an added attraction for the bridge that links Honmoku Pier and Daikoku Pier. The bridge also ranks as the longest suspension bridge in the world. The Sky Walk in Yokohama is basically a sightseeing facility that the bridge is improvised with so as to highlight the beauty and the achievement of the architect. The first of its kind in the country of Japan, the Sky Walk in Yokohama is a side-walk or promenade that extends from the Sky Lounge, located on the main pillar of the bridge, to the Sky Tower. The Sky Walk in Yokohama stretches for a length of 320 Meters on the 860 Meter Yokohama Bay Bridge. The timings of a tour of the Sky Walk in Yokohama may vary from season to season. While in the summer months, which stretch between April and September, sees the Sky Walk in Yokohama allowing entry between 9:30am and 7:30pm - though the closing time is at 8:00pm; the winter months, stretching between October and March, are functional between 10:00am and 6:00pm - though entries are disallowed from 5:30pm onwards. Aside of these timings, the Sky Walk in Yokohama also remains shut on every Tuesday; and if in case these chances to fall a public Holiday, then the Sky Walk in Yokohama is functional on that day and shut on the Wednesday succeeding it.
