Sankei-en Gardens, Yokohama is located in 58-1 Honmoku Sannotani, Naka
ku in Yokohama City of Kanagawa Prefecture. This wonder of the world remains opened
from 9o'clock in the morning till 5 in the afternoon. The garden is designed in
the traditional Japanese form. The park spreads over 175,000 square meters. Sankei-en
Gardens preserve numerous historical constructions with in its periphery.
There is both an inner garden as well as an outer garden. The vision of this
piece of art was dreamt by Tamitaro Hara who was one of the most reputed silk
merchants of Japan.
The inner garden is more mystic when and if compared to the outer. The veil
of mysteries will be lifted as soon as you cross the threshold to the land of
illusion. The tapestry of dream is well crafted by the Lady of Shallot here.
The sun will take a peep-a-boo from one corner to another. The musty smell of
the north wind will be able to drain out all your stress and tension.
There is a beautiful villa erected by the Tokugawa natives in this garden in the
year of 1650. You can even see a 502 year old pagoda in this zone of green life
