Doha Village in Kuwait

From 1984, it was decided that the Doha Village in Kuwait would become an Entertainment City. Thus a small theme park was built in this small village, which lies 20 kilometers to the north-west of Kuwait for entertaining the crowds. The Entertainment City in the Doha Village in Kuwait is designed on the model of Disneyland, with lots of scope for enjoyment through the various rides and games.
Though the fishing village is worth seeing along with enjoying in the theme park but the best thing to see at the Doha Village of Kuwait is the dhow manufacturing unit. This site brings into view the history and heritage of Kuwait. At the Doha harbor you will find one or two dhows giving evidence about the trading history of Kuwait. However, during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait the Doha Village at Kuwait was looted and fortified by the Iraqi army. Soon afterwards the Allied force captured the area and turned it into Camp Doha. After Kuwait was liberated from the Iraqi aggression again the Doha Village was rebuilt but nowadays very few dhows are built here. The reason is that dhows are not used for any trading purpose nowadays and therefore other than exquisite miniatures you will not find many dhows here.
