From 1984, it was decided that the Doha Village in Kuwait would become an Entertainment City. Thus a small theme park was built in this small village, which lies 20 kilometers to the north-west of Kuwait for entertaining the crowds. However, during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait the Doha Village at Kuwait was looted and fortified by the Iraqi army. Soon afterwards the Allied force captured the area and turned it into Camp Doha. After Kuwait was liberated from the Iraqi aggression again the Doha Village was rebuilt but nowadays very few dhows are built here. The reason is that dhows are not used for any trading purpose nowadays and therefore other than exquisite miniatures you will not find many dhows here.
