Mais Al Ghanim Restaurant in Kuwait is located on Gulf Road facing Kuwait Towers. It is one the famous restaurants in Kuwait. Every weekend the place gets filled up with patrons. The restaurants history goes back a long way when Mr. Edmond Barakat openeds a canteen for employees of Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons Co., called "Mess Alghanim". During 1953 the restaurant has been preparing complete meals and offering take-away services which became quite popular. The canteen slowly became a restaurant.
In 1974, the business was presided over by Emiile Barakat from his late father Edmond Barakat. In 1987 it was registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the name of Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons Co. That time restaurant was located in the old Kuwait television station and the name was changed from "Mess Alghanim" to "Mais Alghanim. In 2003 it moved to the present location overlooking the sea. The restaurant has a traditional Kuwaiti design which reflects its Kuwait's heritage and tradition. Here you will find a range of selection of seafood, poultry, meat, soups and salads.
