Australia - Adelaide - Brisbane - Alice Springs - Cairns - Canberra - Darwin - Gold Coast - Hobart - Melbourne - Newcastle - Perth - Port Douglas - Launceston - Sydney - Townsville
Located in the center of Launceston, Aquarius Roman Baths is recognized as one of the first places to provide Spa Treatment. It offers facilities like mud massage, healing massages, seaweed treatment and other beauty treatments. With all columns of marble and statues, the 21st century Aquarius Roman Baths brings back images of the ancient Roman days.

Roman Baths usually involve series of hot and warm baths followed by a cold plunge. In keeping with the Roman tradition the various baths have been given Roman names like the Tepidarium (Warm Bath), the Caldarium (Hot Bath), the Spa Alveus (or Hot Bath), and the Frigidarium (Cold Bath). One particularly hot bath named Laconicum starts at 54 degrees and slowly rises to 80 degrees after which the entire process is reversed.

Those seeking treatment for pains and body aches are shown the way to the massage and seaweed rooms. Even skin problems are dealt with using algae. Aquarius Roman Baths also has a Laser Hospital with an operation theater for Day Cosmetic Surgery and Ultrasonic Liposculpture Clinic. Those who undergo the surgery try out the different spas as they wait for the signs of the surgery to heal. Aquarius Roman Baths does not provide accommodation; those who have opted for the surgery need to make their own arrangements.

The Roman Baths in ancient days were built mostly for entertainment or for cleaning purposes. Nominal fees were charged in many of these places of bath. On most occasions, the Romans visiting the bath warmed themselves by engaging in wrestling or boxing. Much like health clubs of today Roman Baths had provisions for gym, library and a reading room.

On weekdays Aquarius Room Baths opens at nine in morning till nine in the evening and on weekends and holidays it opens at nine but closes at six in the evening.
