Bintang is the national beer of Indonesia. It is a pilsner that can be found
in the major regions. Another the locally brewed wine is Anker. Arak-
rice whisky, Brem- rice wine and Tuak- palm wine are also brewed locally
and are readily available. However, the drinks are comparatively quite expensive
than other meals. But still a drink never loses its appeal to a drink-lover!
Lombok situated to the east of Bali, offers a range pubs and bar-restaurants

These Bars usually do not require any entry fee and have special drinks promotion and happy hours from 7–9 PM. Some pubs are open from 12:00PM till morning and have techno music and discos.
Senggigi in Lombok, has some good bars and pubs. Among them the
most renowned are the Papaya Café and Taman. You can have few drinks like Heineken
and Bintang and ‘crazy papaya time’ and listen to the live band music.
Taman also offers live jazz at night and a free cocktail after 9pm.
Sugar Cafe and Bar is a Gay Friendly Bar in Senggigi and it arranges
cabaret shows once a week.
The picturesque Gili Islands is a backpacker’s destination with a plethora
of bars located along the waterfront. Gili Trawangan is cited as a ‘Party Island’
and almost all the pubs out here create a party every night. The most famous
bar in Trawangan is the Irish Bar named Tir Na Nog. In fact Trawangan is the
smallest island in the world which hosts an Irish pub!Tir Na Nog has an expensive
drink and food menu and has nightly drink specials.
