Nam Van Lake Cybernetic Fountain
Nam Van Lake Cybernetic Fountain in Macau is positioned on the reverse side of the Headquarters of the Government of Macau. This adds importance to the location of the Cybernetic Fountain. The monument was originally built in a reservoir. But in March 1999, celebrating the return of Macau to China, the Cybernetic Fountain was moved to its present sight.
Nam Van Lake Cybernetic Fountain in Macau is the largest manmade fountain in Asia. Set in a small reservoir, the Cybernetic Fountain in Macau is controlled by the computers. Built by a Portuguese- Spanish company, the fountain is outfitted with 86 spouts. 288 colored spotlights lit the fountain while playing. The loftiest water jet goes up to a height of 80 meters. Around 292 water jet pumps are engaged in the Cybernetic Fountain.
Nam Van Lake Cybernetic Fountain is renowned among the popular destinations in Macau because of its laser water show. The fantastic shows of cascading water and light is a major attraction on the Macau sightseeing tour. A colorful water extravaganza is performed on every night from 8 to 10 p.m. A free show is carried out on every Wednesday and Saturday night. The scenic beauty of the artificial Nam Van Lake adds to the appeal of the Cybernetic Fountain. Supplementary performances are performed on the festive occasion of Christmas Holidays, New Year's Day, Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc.
