The first GSC to operate in Malaysia was opened in Kota Kinabalu on 14 July 1981. This cinema like all other cinema halls have magnificent sound systems, huge screens, pots of sweet and salty popcorn, coke containers the size of minor industrial silos. Red carpets muffle your footsteps, as you slip into the soft plush seats and eagerly await the coming of the dark. The tickets also have a reasonable price. The tickets are RM8 on the weekdays, and RM9 on the weekends. There are also special Wednesday rates, selling tickets for only RM6. Tickets for Premiere and Gold Class are more expensive because patrons are served directly by GSC staff.
A movie experience in Golden Screen Cinema will be an unforgettable one as there are 3 Glitter cafés and gift shops in Mid Valley, 1 Utama and Gurney Plaza where one can purchase merchandise. You will definitely enjoy the ambience with the movie.
