Lost World of Tambun

Malaysia - Langkawi - Kuala Lumpur - Penang
The newest of the water parks of Kuala Lumpur, with a RM 60 million, the Lost World of Tambun, is located in the historic town of Ipoh in the heart of the north-south corridor of Perak. Situated ideally in the area between Penang and KL, the park provides pleasure and attraction to the traveler and their family. It is anticipated that there are 450,000 visitors who annually frequent this place.

Besides special rides such as the Tube Raiders (sliding down with large tubes), the Cliff Racer (top speed mine carts) and the Jungle Wave Bay (the huge wave pool with 9 different waves), there is also a Tiger Valley with three adult tigers on an island that resembles their natural habitat. Another attraction is the pool filled with hot mineral water from the Tambun hot springs.

This amusement park is landscaped with vines, creepers and lush tropical plants to give visitors the illusion of a Lost World. This is the sister theme park of the Sunway Lagoon in Petaling Jaya. The Lost World was inaugurated in November 2004. It is a couple of hours’ ride north of the city and a similar drive from Penang. On weekdays, the park opens at 12 pm, but remains closed on Tuesdays.
