Agricultural Park

Malaysia - Langkawi - Kuala Lumpur - Penang
The Agricultural Park of Kuala Lumpur is located at the Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam, which is only some 20 kilometers from the city proper. Here, there are plenty of amazing orchids and landscape views that you can see as soon as you step in to the park's specially designed garden. One such is the beautiful Hoya Garden, the Tenom Orchid Center etc. if you wish to stay longer here, the Park has chalets facing the man made lake where you can go fishing or boating.

The Lake Sanong is well landscaped and is lit with garden lamps, which makes the area ideal for an evening stroll. The water garden is a must-visit, planted with aquatic plants that adorn the banks and the adjoining water surfaces. If you are fortunate enough, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the Giant Water Lily or the Victoria amazonica that blooms early in the morning. In the middle of the lake are a couple of islands or the Padas Island and the Bird Island. The latter is a haven for birds and it sprawls over an area of 2 acres.

The Native Orchid Center is famously recognized as the major storehouse of the indigenous Borneo Orchid collection and is the largest in the region. The animal park is equivalent to a mini zoo where animals like goats and sheep are kept. Additionally, there are the exotic species of the great Black African Ostrich, the guinea fowl, peacocks and various varieties of poultry like ducks, geese, turkey and quails.
