Arulmigu Sri Ramalinga Eeswarar Temple
Malaysia - Langkawi - Kuala Lumpur - Penang
The Arulmigu Sri Ramalinga Eeswarar Temple or Alayam as it is known is a brick and stone construction built in the year 1903 by the Malaysian Railway Employees who were in need of a temple in that area. Devotees flocked to this place of worship during the multifarious Hindu festivals. In the year 1980, the temple was slotted to be demolished to pave way for developments in the area. The repeated efforts of the devotees as well as the cooperation of the then minister Tan Sri Manickavasagam led to the granting of property at the Lot 61 Jalan Maarof where the Arulmigu Sri Ramalinga Eeswarar Temple stands.
